Celebrate April’s Earth Day by joining

The 5th Annual Great Jersey City Clean Up

Saturday April 4th, 2020

 10am-2pm.

 Our group of Volunteers will have the opportunity make a direct difference in our community by helping clean the streets and parks around our schools.

Clean up supplies, Snacks, Giveaways, and free Volunteer T-Shirt will be provided at the Ward Check-in @ Lincoln Park.

Empowerment PTO presents Movie Day!  On February 23rd, we invite you to join us at the AMC theatre at the Newport Mall for a viewing of Sonic the Hedgehog at 3pm.

Tickets must be purchased in advance below! No day of or cash sales will be accepted for this event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No reserved seating. Optional advance snack pack purchase includes kid sized popcorn & fountain drink, with a pack of Frooti-Tooti’s.

It’s N.U.T. day Friday Sept 13th! please send a dollar to school with your scholar  in an envelope marked PTO NUT Day to participate.

* please wear safe shoes to school. If your scholar has Gym class, please wear Gym appropriate sneakers.

*K-3rd Grades – Used uniforms will be available to purchase for $2 per item. Or you may swap your old uniform for one of a different size.

4-5th Grades – Supply is limited and logo attire is minimal. We do have unmarked sweatshirts and Kaki pants. Please contact our Uniform Coordinator regarding inventory questions.

We’re hoping this can still be a terrifiyingly terrific event that will elevate school spirit and bring our EA community closer together. So keep those costumes pressed and save room for some tricks and treats! November 3rd is just around the corner.

Special Thanks to Shanique Sanders, Rich Edwards, Nicole Spina, Trang To, and our Committee Chair Shani Darby and Treasurer Aja Spooner for helping at the school yesterday. And a big thanks to all of you who donated Treats to make this event a success and to those of you who sent money in with your scholar. It’s our most successful fundraiser this year! We couldn’t do it without you :)

Only 16 days left until our 1st Annual Trunk or Treat and we’re looking for more cars to participate! If you or a family member would like to decorate a car and join in this goulish event, please sign up with our Volunteer Form. Thanks for helping make this event a success!

Please keep collecting ‘Box Tops’ and hold’em dear.  We’ll be doing an October Box Tops collection drive and be announcing the collection dates soon.

Our first N.U.T (no uniform today) day of the academic year is falling on Friday, September 21st.

Parents please send along $1 with your child. This money will benefit your PTO.
